up your quality and youve got something.
ok... Get your hands on a copy of Acid Pro by any means you can. Its an easy to use multitracking program with some decent direct X plugins.
Now... dont plug your distortion pedal right into your computer... too many highs and high mids. Go get a Good DI processor for your guitar from your local music shop. it isnt as good as a couple of good mics and a nice mixer and an hour of positioning to get rid of phase cancelation... but its easy. even without a DI you can get a better sound that that though. just takes some micky mousing.
Then, to add depth... record the rythm guitar twice, pan each of the tracks right and left, automatically your music sounds like its all around you. bass right and front. and put some stereo reverb on the drums.
since i feel like helping... ninety6proof@hotmail.com drop me a line if you want to know how to record. Im gonna whip something up to put on here...
